HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT GOD IS
DOING IN KENYA?
Jesus calls his followers
to bring the Good News to the entire world.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 28, verse 19,
Jesus tells his disciples to "Go and make disciples of all nations”.
Today, many LCMS-NED congregations
are sharing that message of hope with people in Kenya.
Look and see how you can get involved!!

GREAT NEWS! The Advent Aid for Africa (AAA) effort provided enough funds to purchase 9 sewing machines for Kenyan women. Through generous donations from Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Danbury, CT., and Our Savior Lutheran Church in So. Windsor, CT., our hope is that 9 women will use these sewing machines to start small businesses which will provide the means for necessities such as food, healthcare, and school. Prayerfully, we will soon be able to report some good news as to who received a sewing machine and how it has changed their lifestyle. Thank you for your help!
ELCK Lenten Appeal! The NED Kenya Committee will be collecting monetary gifts during the upcoming Lenten season that will provide funds for ELCK Pastors and Evangelists to purchase bicycles. This will enable Kenyan clergy to spread the Gospel to people that live in remote areas. Currently, these pastors and evangelists are only able to visit people within walking distance of their compounds. Starting March 9, 2011, Ash Wednesday, all NED congregations will be accepting donations of any amount for these bicycles, concluding on April 24, 2011, which is Easter Sunday. Please make your checks payable to NED-LCMS, memo KENYA bicycles. Congregations and individuals may forward their donations to NED-LCMS, att: Brenda Bacon, 400 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA 01109.
